![]() ![]() There was so much love and positive energy that went into our wedding. And when vendors trust each other, you can focus on the details and creating a vibration that is like no other. At first, we we felt limited by the choices that seemed to be already made, but we eased quickly into trusting the team fully that there must be a reason that they have some structures in place: It's the love and the details! And they work really well together and trust each other. Hood Organic Farms is a private, family run farm and as soon as we stepped foot onto the property, we knew were in the right place.īrady, the farm owner, explained that the farm works as a team with other woman owned businesses: Cultivate Catering & Cassandra Cass Coordinating, and that when you work with the farm, you work with these fine folk, too. Many of these wedding venues are manufactured and feel very fake, not to mention, beauty is really important to me (one time we visited a venue and from the wedding view there was a UHAUL sign in complete view! This lead me to verify that view was important and we needed to see beautiful things while we were getting married). We looked high and low for a venue that felt like it actually had the love and positive energy we were looking for. It was important to us to find a venue that supported marriage equality. Hood Organic Farms is the DREAMIEST place to get married. Thank you Brady, Ginger, Kristen, and Cassandra for making our day so wonderful! Sent on Despite nearby fires, smoke, and rain, a month later our guests are still raving about the beauty of the venue and area. We happened to get married at the height of the devastating Eagle Creek fire that caused a lot of smoke and ash for weeks in the surrounding areas and the actual day of our wedding fell on the first rain event of the fall. The food was absolutely spectacular and I cannot count the number of people who told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The teamwork was obvious and I can't say more about how great Kristen was - she really ensured we were able to be present and enjoy the time with our guests without having to worry about any details or timelines. We had about 120 guests (110 of whom traveled from out of state) and everything went off without a hitch. ![]() From the beginning, the team (Brady the farm owner, Ginger the caterer, and Cassandra and Kristen the day-of coordinators) made everything very simple and easy. I had absolutely no interest in decorating and we really wanted to have a low-impact event. We immediately fell in love with the farm, mostly because of all the natural beauty it provides. Hood Organic Farms last fall and booked it for a Sunday wedding in September. I'm pretty in awe of her actually! Just wanted to add my 2 cents since she's come up a few times on here. She may come off a bit more severe than the typical wedding industry professional/seem to have a lot of strict rules, but when you consider the fact that her main business involves producing over a million pounds of apples and pears a year and that she is single-handedly responsible for all the incredible flowers and landscaping around the venue, it kind of makes sense why. Her responses to my inquiries were always courteous, kind, and prompt, and I really enjoyed every in-person interaction I had with her. ![]() I really enjoyed working with Brady, the owner, too. ![]() The caterer (Cultivated Catering, led by Ginger Powers) is mind-blowingly amazing- also the best I could have ever hoped for if we'd had to choose our own (maybe even better actually- I didn't know it was possible to have wedding food that's this good), and it saved us the trouble of having to do that too. It was also just great knowing that they know the farm inside and out and could probably run a wedding there with their eyes closed. The coordinators (Cassandra and Kristen) were SO awesome and incredible and helpful and nice- the best I could have ever hoped for if I had been able to choose my own, and it saved me the trouble of having to do that. They require that you use their coordinators and caterer, but this turned out to be a gigantic pro, and not at all a con. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on the beauty of it all, and I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to get married there. From the lush gardens and orchards to that absolutely stunning Hood view to the beautiful and unique tiling and woodwork of the Apple House. Words can't really describe how gorgeous and magical the place is. Hood Organic Farms was my dream venue, and it did not disappoint. ![]()
